I want to remove my SRAM Guide RS rear brake (to replace it with Shimanos). The frame has internal routing, so I need to keep the DOT fluid from coming out of the cable when pulling them through the Stack Exchange network consists of 176 Q&A communities
2020/1/29· The 5/16" automotive brake line is the right size for hose, bends easily and is braze-able so that''s what I use. > I am designing a frame at present that will have internal hydraulic brake > line routing and was planning to use something like that I''d be

There are thousands of reasons a hydraulic hose can fail, but often, the most common failures could have been avoided with proper precautions. At Parker Hose Products Division, we work closely with customers regarding hose maintenance and failures, and we know how to protect your hoses, keep your machinery running and reduce costly downtime.
Stainless Steel Internal Routing Guide Tube The solution we came up with for nuer two is gloriously simple; extend the internal guide tubes by 10mm, and slip a 20mm section of rubber hose over the end of the guide, and over the cable. This offers plenty of
Stiffness Testing of Hydraulic Hoses Abstract Hydraulic hoses are used in industrial machines to transmit power. These hoses have a physical stiffness that depends upon the hose size and type. If a computer model is used to predict the path a hose will take
2017/3/8· Out back those small hydraulic lines pop out just above each derailleur for simple routing and very little hose in the wind. On the non-driveside you get the same thing with the brake likes coming out inside of the fork leg and chainstay to transition smoothly to the brake calipers.
2017/4/30· Does anyone have any tricks to feeding new hydraulic lines in Yeti''s internal routing? SB6. When asseling my new 4.5c frame one of the pre run cords that Yeti installs fell into my frame and I couldn''t fish it back through the hole.
SAE hose standards - description and construction SAE 100R1 This hose should be used with petroleum- and water-based hydraulic fluids, within a temperature range from -40 to 100 C. Type A - Consists of an inner tube of oil-resistant synthetic rubber, a single wire braid reinforcement, and an oil- and weather-resistant synthetic rubber cover.
Pull as hard as you like new brake line comes through. I only came up with this as in the middle of my Five swingarm there is some piece kind of blocking the route. I do like the hoover trick though.
2020/11/2· So many people struggle with internal routing. Worse off than running internal shift cables is hydraulic disc brake hose. Well not really. Take a watch of ho
Let me tell you a little story about properly routing the cable for your front disc brake… It all started when I purchased my Specialized Stumpjumper at Landry’s Bicycles . I was replacing a stolen bike in the middle of the NCCA collegiate racing season, which also happened to coincide with the gap between bicycle model years.
Hose and Tube Routing Note: Air-Way is proud to be an active participant in the development of the text and the video format of SAE J1273 - Recommended Practices for Hydraulic Hose Asselies. These SAE documents are intended as guides to consider when selecting, routing, fabriing, installing, replacing, maintaining, and storing hose for fluid power systems.
The ROSE CRT internal cable routing tool makes routing gear cables, housings and hoses through the frame a simple task! The compact tool uses powerful magnets to safely and easily guide gear and brake cables, outer brake housings and gear outer cables as well as hydraulic hoses and SHIMANO Di2 hoses through the frame.

It won’t work with hydraulic hose or stainless steel inner wires, but for other cables a really strong magnet can help. Neodymium rod magnets are a good place to start and they’ll work best if they’re small enough to fit inside your cable exit points.
I`m working on installing my first road hydraulic disc groupset (eTap WiFli HRD) on a frame with internal cable routing. The levers were connected to the calipers out of the box, not with the internal routing "fishing guide" as can be seen on Sram`s Stealth a majig manual.
Hydraulic Disc Brake This manual does not cover the assely of ST-R785 with brakes. For the assely of ST-R785 with brakes, refer to DM-BR0004 . 2 CONTENTS
These should also work with hydraulic brake hose. The adapter-less guide cable is meant for use in places where the cable routing holes are just too small for anything else to work. The threaded barb guide cable found the most use with me.
2015/9/10· Hydraulic brake line routing inside downtube I''m building this with Di2 so only one will be used for shifting, and leaves one open for alternate use. It''s going to have hydraulic discs, so am thinking about routing it inside the downtube and out just under the bottom bracket enlarging one of the holes in the BB plastic cable guide to accommodate it and follow the chain stay.
Fine. Internal brake routing is here to stay, too. It simply looks that much better. Eventually, every company will figure it out. Rocky Mountain, Trek, and Specialized all provides tons of room for a mechanic to get brake fittings in an out and zip tie all the cables

2014/7/7· 1) Most modern road frames use internal cabling. Does the wrench need to dissele the hose, route it through the frame and adjust the hose length and then re bleed ? 2) I doubt the frame internal brake cable holes are big enough to accommodate the hose
